Community donations fund 21 bold new cancer research projects

2 December 2016

Twenty-one innovative new research projects will commence at Peter Mac after receiving Foundation Grants of up to $50,000 each thanks to the generosity of donors to the Peter Mac Endowment Fund.

The grants provide seed funding to kick-start bold new research projects with the potential to lead to the discovery of new ideas and advance knowledge in cancer research and care.

Selected through a rigorous peer review process, this year’s recipients range from a project to develop a new diagnostic tool for melanoma patients through to research into the role of an exercise and self-management program in the recovery, health and wellbeing of adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer survivors.

Our grateful thanks go to the generous donors who have helped to fund these important projects.
