Foundation Strategy 2026 and Beyond

Letter from the CEO and Chair

On behalf of the Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation (Foundation) we are delighted to present our new strategy, which will guide our efforts from 2026 and beyond. The Foundation’s vision aims to transform the future of cancer care and research and reflects our shared commitment with the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre (Peter Mac) to revolutionise outcomes for people affected by cancer, globally.

Since our inception in 2002, the Foundation has distributed over $400 million in support of advancing world-leading cancer research and care at Peter Mac. With this proud history, we are uniquely positioned to elevate our impact to meet the aspirations of Peter Mac, cementing Australia’s pioneering specialist cancer centre as a world leader and uplifting Peter Mac’s lifesaving research and clinical care.

We will build on our strong foundation as one of Australia’s leading charities to achieve an ambitious step change with innovation at the heart of our strategy. Central to achieving this is our remarkable community of supporters. Their generosity is more vital than ever in driving the Foundation’s growth and success, enabling us to deepen our support for Peter Mac’s groundbreaking work.

Our ambition is clear: support and enable Peter Mac to be a global leader in research and research-led cancer care. Now is a crucial moment for the Foundation. We are energised by the vast potential before us and ready to rise to the challenge of enhancing our impact.
