Whether you became a Discovery Partner, ran, rode a bike or walked at Unite to Fight Cancer, made a donation to cancer research, started your own fundraising activity or gave in another important way, you’ve helped us to take important steps forward in the fight against cancer.

This year’s Walk to Fight Cancer saw 3,133 wonderful walkers take to the streets in October in support of the fight against cancer. Together they raised just under $1 MILLION to go towards cancer research at Peter Mac.
This fantastic virtual event saw 1,580 lycra-clad Peter Mac supporters get on their bikes and pedal out against cancer. Every year we are so inspired by the stories of our first-time riders and those who have come back year after year to make a difference.
June was an exciting month for 42 supporters who embarked on the Larapinta Trail, NT to raise funds for cancer research at Peter Mac.
In October, Carlton Football Club set up their #DoingItForDoc fundraiser in support of their co-captain Sam Docherty who was undergoing treatment at Peter Mac for testicular cancer. What started out as a mission to raise $5,000 for Peter Mac through head shaves among the team turned into a mammoth $219,000 raised, with Blues players and many supporters (and footy fans who put rivalry aside for a good cause) donating and shaving their heads.
Last year, Abbey, a vibrant, fit young woman was shocked to discover she had Hodgkins Lymphoma.
Sisters Matilda and Harriet are raising funds for Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation in memory of their father, Nigel.

Over 500 Team Peter Mac members took to the streets of Melbourne on Sunday 28 July 2019, walking, jogging and running to raise over $250,000 for Peter Mac.
More than 1600 passionate Peter Mac supporters have joined together to raise more than $1.3M for cancer research as part of the inaugural Unite to Fight Cancer.
On July 29, the largest ever Team Peter Mac took on the streets of Melbourne and raised over $380,000 for life-saving cancer research at Peter Mac.
From the 15th – 23rd October 2021, more than 3,300 inspiring people completed Unite to Fight Cancer and raised a magnificent $1.7 million for cancer research.
