Volunteer with us

We love our volunteers, and they play an important role in our work.

Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre has a comprehensive volunteer program to help support patients, their families and staff. These roles require regular commitment of one to two days per fortnight.

Interested in Volunteering?

There are several steps to becoming a Peter Mac Volunteer. This ensures that our volunteer applicants are well informed, well suited, and trained appropriately. We encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, all members of the LGBTQI community and people with a disability.

All applicants must be available to: 

  • Attend an information session 
  • Submit formal application 
  • Attend an Interview 
  • Attend 2 full days of on-site training 
  • Undergo National Police Check
