“I believe in the possibility of a cancer-free future and I want to help Peter Mac make this a reality”, says event organiser, Daniel Pratt.

Daniel started fundraising for Peter Mac in 2015, inspired by loved ones whose lives were impacted by cancer.

Daniel's friend, Sarah, was diagnosed with leukemia and spent a long time at Peter Mac during her recovery. His grandfather, Mervyn, was also diagnosed with prostate cancer, and sadly passed away.

Inspired by the stories of Sarah, Mervyn, and so many others, the Hallora Marathon Festival has evolved into a run, walk and cycle extravaganza for all ages and abilities.

“We want to be able to raise money to allow people like Sarah and my Pa to receive optimal treatment, to go on and live fulfilling lives” Daniel says.

Just 100km southeast of Melbourne, the Hallora Marathon Festival is a fun day out for the whole family.

Take on the full 42km marathon, or choose a shorter challenge – 24km, 16km, 8km, 5km, and the Kids Dash (200m).

“The finish line at Western Park in Warragul is a great place to be for all”, says Daniel.

“We have music, MCs, merchandise, food, drinks, a community BBQ fundraiser and so much more to enjoy after the races are complete.

“Please join me in the fight against cancer by giving to Peter Mac to support their discovery of cancer cures”, says Daniel.

“Together we can help make a life-changing difference to people living with cancer.”
