Peter Mac's full Open House Melbourne program

Over the weekend of 27 and 28 July we will celebrate 75 years of Peter Mac’s by opening our world leading cancer treatment, research and education centre to the public, for Open House Melbourne.

Dedicated volunteer staff will be on-hand to share our work, our history, and our achievements. This is a unique opportunity to see behind the scenes on self-guided or guided tours, share in family-friendly activities, experience our award winning architecture, and visit our new historical exhibition.

Peter Mac is located at 305 Grattan Street, Melbourne. We will be open from 10am – 4pm on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 July.

Level 1 –  Open all day

Visit the Wellbeing Centre and learn about cutting-edge cell therapies treatment for cancer in our newest clinical unit.

Basement Level 1 – Open 10am to 2pm
See how we deliver safe and effective radiotherapy treatment using the latest equipment.

Level 3 – 11am

Pharmacy demonstration – see how we make cancer fighting drugs for our patients.

Level 1 –  Open all day

Discover Pathology and learn about how we diagnose, track and understand people’s cancer. Look through microscopes and see pathologists at work!

Visit Imaging to see the incredible technologies we use to look inside the body for cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Level 4 – Open all day

See a Surgery Theatre, meet experts (including our robot!) and learn about the lifesaving operations we complete at Peter Mac.

Level 5 – Open 10am to 2pm

Visit Imaging to see the incredible technologies we use to look inside the body for cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Level 7 – Open all day

Explore our brand new historical exhibition, which tracks Peter Mc’s 75 year history. Drop into the lecture theatre to watch our new short film. 

Level 6 – Open 11am to 1pm

See a Surgery Theatre, meet experts (including our robot!) and learn about the lifesaving operations we complete at Peter Mac.

Level 13 – Open all day

Stop off at the very top of our building, take in an amazing view, relax and watch some Peter Mac archival footage. You might even meet a therapy dog!
