Welcome to Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation
Together, we can find new and better ways to prevent, detect and treat cancers
Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre is internationally recognised for helping to lead the search for cancer cures, and is Australia's only public hospital solely dedicated to caring for people affected by cancer. We support this vital work by funding new research opportunities, and providing researchers with access to the specialised resources they need to discover cures for cancer.
With your support, we can change the future of cancer research

With more cancer cures, people like Nadine can live without fear of their cancer returning.
Your gift will accelerate cancer research at Peter Mac towards kinder treatments and new cancer cures for all

Meet Nadine
When Nadine was diagnosed with stage 4 non-Hodgkin lymphoma, her first thought was for her kids.
Seb and Hannah were just nine and 12 years old at the time. Nadine had to find a way to explain her cancer to them.
"I realised that I had to sit Seb and Hannah down. I remember telling them very carefully: ‘Mum has a few things going on so you’ll see me go in and out of hospital for a while. You’ll also see me get quite sick. But I have to get really sick to get better.’”
Nadine’s course of chemotherapy sent her into a period of remission – but she is not cured.
Until a cure is discovered, Nadine will live with the worry and fear of her cancer returning.
Meet Associate Professor Dickinson and Dr Minson
Associate Professor Michael Dickinson and Dr Adrian Minson are cancer researchers at Peter Mac. They are investigating a new class of immunotherapy drugs, and how these drugs could lead to a cure for people like Nadine.
By doing this, they hope to drastically increase the number of people responding well to their treatment – and being cured.
“We think that this work could save hundreds of lives in Australia and thousands of lives around the world. And those patients will never relapse, that’s our hope.”
In their trials, patients can require less treatment for a better outcome. And by making treatment more effective, complete remission is possible in more patients with non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

Our researchers rely on generous donations just like yours, to continue their search for more cancer cures and better treatments.

$75 will help accelerate the discovery of life-saving cancer cures and save lives like Nadine's

$125 will help support researchers working to discover new cancer cures
