Collingwood FC's Mason Cox visits Peter Mac

14 April 2023

Proving he also has a big heart, Collingwood’s Mason Cox dropped in to Peter Mac today to visit some of our patients.

Peter Mac patients (and massive Pies fans), Nick and Ricky, had the chance to meet one of football’s tallest heroes and to hold the 2010 AFL Premiership Cup.

A huge thank you from Peter Mac to Mason and everyone involved at Collingwood Football Club. This visit not only meant the world to Nick and Ricky, but also made the day of our staff.

We look forward to seeing Mason again on 28 July when Collingwood plays Carlton in the Peter Mac Cup, the longest running charity match in AFL history.

We’re incredibly grateful to have two traditional rivals like Collingwood and Carlton come together to support one cause – accelerating life-saving cancer research at Peter Mac..

Peter Mac provides world-class care to 40,000 people affected by cancer each year - combining care, compassion, and the latest research. It is also home to Australia’s largest cancer research group, with over 750 clinical and laboratory scientists dedicated to discovering new ways to prevent, treat, and ultimately cure all types of cancer.

Cancer doesn’t play fair, but together we can level the playing field. Show your support at the game, make a donation, or help spread the word, and give new hope to all people living with cancer.
