We are thrilled to share that we have raised over $280,000 for cancer research at Peter Mac through this year’s Peter Mac Cup. This includes a $100,000 matched gift generously donated by the Pratt Foundation.

On Friday 3 May Carlton and Collingwood played off for the 29th Peter Mac Cup.

The game was a nailbiter and saw Collingwood kick the winning goal with a minute of game time left to play. Collingwood’s win brings the total win tally of 16 – 13 wins in Carlton’s favour.

The pre-game entertainment included some special moments dedicated to Peter Mac.

In honour of those impacted by cancer, the MCG lights changed to purple, and a special message from @RobbieWilliams was played. The stadium of more than 88,000 people took to their feet and sung along to the iconic Angels, by Robbie Williams. This moving moment resonated strongly with the wider AFL community and spurred donations through a QR code displayed during the broadcast.

We are so grateful to both Carlton, Collingwood and Foundation board members including Carlton player Sam Docherty who helped to drive this event.

This year's Peter Mac Cup has been the biggest and best yet and we can't wait to see what comes next!
